The Basis of Advanced Digital Treatment Plan in Contemporary Dentistry

Introduction

The digital workflow is a consolidated reality. Despite all the dental world is speaking this new way to treat our patients, is not clear how to treat complex cases and especially how to develop a proper treatment planning using these new tools.

During this day five clinicians will give their personal view focused on how digital dentistry has changed their practice and how dentistry is going to change in the next years.

Learning Objectives:
• How to develop a 3D facially driven treatment planning
• Apply a 10 steps approach by digital software
• Understand new software that helps clinicians to plan complex treatments
• The use of guided surgery for advanced cases
• How to start Digital Smile Design Monday morning
• How to apply digital planning to high esthetic cases

If you are driving along the A1 motorway (Bologna – Milan)
At the exit of the motorway in Milan South, take the Tangenziale Est towards Vimercate-Lecco and drive for about 25 km until exit Vimercate Sud – Quartiere Torri Bianche (exit 19).

If you are driving along the A4 motorway (Milan – Brescia)
The exit is Agrate Brianza. At the exit of the motorway take the direction Vimercate-Lecco. After 4 km, on the Tangenziale Est, continue until you reach Vimercate Sud – Quartiere Torri Bianche (exit 19).

From Linate Airport
Tangenziale Est with direction Vimercate-Lecco until the exit of Vimercate Sud – Quartiere Torri Bianche (exit 19). The distance is about 20 km.

From Malpensa Airport
Highway (A8) towards Milan for about 25 km until the deviation to Venice; continue for about 20 km until the exit of Agrate Brianza. At the exit of the motorway take the direction Vimercate-Lecco. After 4 km, then continue along the Tangenziale Est until the exit of Vimercate Sud – Quartiere Torri Bianche (exit 19). The distance is about 65 km.

Car park
The car can be parked at the multi-storey car park near Nobel Biocare Italian offices.
WARNING: To access the parking lot, you must pick up a ticket at the entrance bar. At the exit, place the same ticket in the machine next to the automatic barrier without paying any toll.
Visitors can only use the 0 floor or the +1 floor.

Dr. Chistian Coachman

Dr. Christian Coachman graduated in Dentistry at the University of São Paulo/Brazil in 2002 and in Dental Technology in 1995. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Moreover, Dr. Coachman attended the Ceramic Specialization Program instructed by Dr. Dario Adolfi at the Ceramoart Training Centre, where he also became an instructor. In 1996, he opened his own laboratory. In addition, he worked as a technical consultant of Creation, Willi Geller Ceramics. In 2004, Dr. Coachman was invited by Dr. Goldstein, Garber, and Salama, of Team Atlanta, to become Head Ceramist of their laboratory, a position he held for over 4 years.
Dr. Coachman currently works as a consultant and develops products for companies. He has lectured and published internationally in the fields of esthetic dentistry, oral rehabilitation, dental ceramics and implants. Dr. Coachman has been working with many leading dentists around the world including Dr. Eric Van Dooren (Belgium), Galip Gurel (Turkey), Nikolay Bakhurinskyi (Russia), Tal Morr (USA) , Mauro Fradeani (Italy), Nitzan Bichacho (Israel), Giano and Andrea Ricci (Italy) and in Brazil with Drs. Sidney Kina, Claudio Pinho, Paulo Kano, Mario Groisman e Marcelo Calamita.

Dr. Giovanni Cricchio

Born on Febraury 17, 1968. Degree in dentistry 1991 at the University of Palermo. Enrolled in a clinical observation and research program 1999-2000 in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine, Umeå University of Umeå. From 2007-2011 position as research fellow at the same department. Umeå University Doctoral Dissertation 2011. Member of an international research group with focus on maxillary sinus bone reformation in conjunction with implant surgery, which has resulted in a number of original publications and review articles during the last years. Private practice.

Dr. Mario Imburgia

Dr Mario Imburgia graduated with honours in Dentistry at the University of Palermo, and achieved the title of PhD in Periodontology in 2004. He is a member of theAIOP (Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry) and a fellow of the International Academy for Dento-Facial Esthetics (IADFE). He has authored scientific papers in national and international journals. Dr Imburgia is Assistant Clinical Teacher at the University of Warwick (United Kingdom).He is a speaker at national and international conferences focusing on fixed prosthodontics, implant-prosthetics and aesthetics He has a private practice in Palermo (Italy).

Dr. John Kois

Received his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine and Certificate in Periodontal Prosthodontics with a M.S.D. degree from the University of Washington, School of Dentistry. He maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics in Tacoma and Seattle and is an Affiliate Professor in the Graduate Restorative Program at the University of Washington. Dr. Kois continues to lecture nationally and internationally, is a reviewer for many journals and is the co-Editor in Chief for The Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry.
Dr. Kois is the recipient of the 2002 Saul Schluger Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from both the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Additionally, he is the recipient of the 2014 Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Award, which is presented annually to a dedicated educator who embodies the spirit of comprehensive dental care. In 2017, Dr. Kois was awarded the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry Award and was recognized by Incisal Edge as one of “The 32 Most Influential People in Dentistry.” He is the past President of both the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and a member of numerous other professional organizations. In addition, he continues to work with restorative dentists at the Kois Center, a didactic and clinical teaching program.

Dr. Bruno Pereira

Graduated in Dentistry at the Dental School, University of Coimbra, Portugal, 2003. Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontology and Prosthodontics at School of dentistry at University of Seville, Spain. PhD degree at School of dentistry at University of Seville, Spain. Visiting Professor at New York University College of Dentistry (USA). Associate Fellow of Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics. Published several articles and presented several lectures on aesthetics and restorative dentistry. Private practice in fixed prosthodontics, esthetics and restorative dentistry, in Marbella, Spain.
